What is the best type of slip way to put around a new pool on the floor?

We are having an in ground pool built and not sure what gateway to put around the pool. We live in an area that reaches 106 degrees in summer and 5 degrees in the winter. We also have grandchildren and partially disabled adult child so we would like some suggestions not slip surfaces. Thank you.

Natural stone does not make a good surface slip, but it gets pretty damn hot in the sun, especially at 105 degrees. Inerlocking concrete pavers are also a good sliding surface, but new is going to get very hot in the sun. I lived in Phoenix for a while and used a concrete pool that brought out on a flat concrete base like stucco in the wall. It is white to reflect the sun and rough texture. It was very non-slip even when wet, and very cold in bare feet.
